    Detroit Green Map



    Help us grow the green economy.  Join our team! Connect Detroiters and tourists to green companies and non-profits and solar tours. We need students or volunteers to help with the following tasks: input new green businesses and non-profits onto the map, verify map applicant organizations by checking on their green and sustainability claims, market the existence of the green map to the community and potential Detroit visitors, track map usage, contribute to map improvements.

    The Problem

    People don’t know which organizations are committed to creating a green and sustainable economy for Detroit.

    Impact

    The map is designed to educate Detroiters, Michiganders and tourists about the locations of the green and sustainable economy in Detroit. The goal is for people to use the map to know how to support the ongoing health of this economy. 

    Academic Field and Level

    Anyone with the skills and interest to join this group of volunteers is welcome to apply. People with website expertise, google sheets skills, outreach and social marketing expertise are especially encouraged to apply.

    A minimum commitment of four months is requested.
