  • Expediting Local Government Access to Sustainability Practices

    Thomas Stanton

Wherever there are local governments inclined to make progress towards sustainability, best-practices can be expedited by providing necessary information about how to get started. Lacking comprehensive information about start-up results in tremendous amounts of wasted time and effort as hundreds of local governments all try to reinvent the same basic ideas.

    Please read more below . . .

    The Problem this Project Addresses

The cost to local governments of pursuing and adopting more sustainable practices of call kinds is unnecessarily high because necessary information, such as board or council Resolutions, Ordinances, implementation plans, case studies, and more are not better organized and are less than readily available to the thousands of citizens and local officials who need them. This project will systematically collect, curate, and disseminate such information to those who are struggling with ideas and questions about how to proceed.

Region or Country Benefited by this Project

This project can benefit any and all jurisdictions. A preliminary focus might be the Great Lakes Region, which recent reports suggest is one of the most challenged by global climate destabilization.

Where Will the Student or Volunteer Work?

Virtual. Students and faculty from anywhere are invited.
